The 23-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to Napoli in recent weeks, despite the Blucerchiati stating that a January exit is unlikely.

The forward – who is co-owned by Juventus – has four goals in 10 Serie A games this season, and Gabbiadini’s agent admits that his form has not gone unnoticed.

“It’s normal that there’s interest in a player like Manolo, both in our league [Serie A] and abroad,” Silvio Pagliari, explained on the official website of his agency.

“I’ve received a few phonecalls, and I repeat, they were from both foreign and Italian clubs.

“I was asked for information about the lad, who I can guarantee is focussed completely on Sampdoria at the moment.

“Although it’s always nice to be sought after, the market isn’t open for another month, and we’ll be hearing a lot of rumours until then.”

Gabbiadini was consigned to the bench during Samp’s 1-1 draw with Napoli on Monday night, only being introduced in the 79th minute.

However, Pagliari assures that there is no ill-feeling between his client and Sampdoria Coach Sinisa Mihajlovic.

“I’m an admirer of Mihajlovic, and Manolo has a great relationship with the Coach, who has really helped him grow as a player.

“Obviously he’s not happy to have been left out, that’s normal, it would be worrying if he was.

“Great strikers in the past have all been on the bench at least once, and Manolo will use the frustration he feels to good effect next time he’s called upon.”
