There are reports in Italy that Napoli striker Manolo Gabbiadini gave the all-clear for a transfer to Cesare Prandelli’s Valencia.

The forward is on his way out in January, having proved himself ill-suited to Maurizio Sarri’s 4-3-3 system in the centre-forward role.

Napoli aim to use the cash raised by his sale, in the region of €25m, to buy a more traditional centre-forward.

According to CalcioNapoli24.it, Valencia director of football Jesus Garcia Pitarch was in Italy over the last few days to speak with agent Silvio Pagliai.
