Roma star Mohamed Salah is on the five-man shortlist for the African Player of the Year award.
The Egypt international has made the cut along with reigning award-holder Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang of Borussia Dortmund.
Also included are Leicester City winger Riyad Mahrez, his club teammate Islam Slimani and Liverpool’s Sadio Mane.
The final winner will be announced in January 2017 and decided by a panel of experts, including Coaches and technical directors of Africa’s 54 national associations.
