Mino Raiola completed several deals with Milan and the Rossoneri were among the first clubs to pay tribute to the super-agent following his death.

The Rossoneri shared a brief statement in English and Italian following the confirmation of Raiola’s death today.

“Our deepest condolences to the Raiola family and all the friends of Mino for their tragic loss,” the Rossoneri wrote on social media.

Milan and Raiola had had a complicated rapport over the last year, especially following Gigio Donnarumma’s free transfer to PSG.

The Italian agent had played hardball in 2017, but Donnarumma eventually extended his contract with a massive pay rise and was joined by his older brother Antonio joined him at the club.

Clubs and clients: football world mourns the death of Mino Raiola

However, one of his most famous clients, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, had remained loyal to the Diavoli and returned to the club for a second spell in 2020, becoming one of the key figures in their return to greatness.

Ibra was one of Raiola’s most famous clients and arguably one of his closest friends. “To me, he is like a father, a brother, a friend and an agent. The best,” the striker said in 2021.

Another former client of Raiola, Mario Balotelli, had joined Milan in two different spells, first in 2013 and then in 2016. He scored 33 goals in 77 games with the Rossoneri.

Alessio Romagnoli, who is expected to leave the club at the end of his contract in June, became a client of Raiola in 2019, four years after his move to San Siro.
