Inter defender Juan Jesus has been handed a four-match ban after being caught elbowing Juventus’ Giorgio Chiellini.

The Brazilian was seen throwing his arm into the face of the Bianconeri defender, but the action was not seen by the referee.

However, following a review of video evidence, the League has given the centre-back a three-match ban for violent conduct, on top of a one-game ban for getting a fourth yellow card of the season.

Stefan Savic of Fiorentina has also been handed a four match ban after being sent off at Parma for lashing out at Antonio Cassano, similarly with one of those games a result of a fourth booking.

Inter will also be without playmaker Mateo Kovacic after the Croatian was sent off in last night’s match for a bad challenge, and the Lega Serie A confirming a one match suspension.

Daniele Conti of Cagliari, Verona’s Emil Hallfredsson, Empoli defender Lorenzo Tonelli and Gonzalo Rodriguez of Fiorentina will also face a one-game ban after being sent off in the latest round of fixtures.

Adding to the Nerazzurri’s woes, Andrea Ranocchia also picked up a fourth yellow card of the season during last night’s match, and will also face a one-game ban.

Cagliari’s Diego Farias, Yohan Benalouane of Atalanta, Verona player Gustavo Campanharo, Përparim Hetemaj of Chievo and Facundo Roncaglia of Genoa will also face the same sanction after picking up a fourth booking.
