Former Juventus President and PSG director Jean-Claude Blanc is reportedly set to become the new CEO of Premier League side Manchester United.

Blanc was brought into the Juve camp to help resuscitate the club after the Calciopoli scandal in 2006, which saw them demoted to Serie B and stripped of two Serie A titles.

He had several different roles, acting as director general from 2006 to 2009, then President until May 2010, when he became CEO.

Blanc finally left Juve in 2011 and soon after became the director general at Paris Saint-Germain, a position he held until December 2022.

His greatest achievement at Juventus was pushing through the project to knock down the Stadio Delle Alpi and build the Allianz Juventus Stadium, the first time an Italian club was able to build its own arena.

According to Footmercato in France, Blanc is now lined up to be the new CEO of Manchester United, once Jim Ratcliffe has completed his purchase of 25 per cent of shares in the club at a cost of circa €1.5 billion.

It comes after Richard Arnold, who had been Manchester United’s general manager for 16 years, resigned today.
