According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Francesco Totti and Gianluca Petrachi are pushing for Mihajlovic, but both President Jim Pallotta and the tactician himself have doubts.

It’s reported this evening that Miha is leaning towards an extended Bologna stay after meeting with patron Joey Saputo, who pledged investments and a push for Europe next year.

That reduces the candidates to Fonseca, who is backed by Roma advisor Franco Baldini, and Sassuolo boss Roberto De Zerbi.

Fonseca is a 46-year-old Portuguese Coach who has been at Shakhtar Donetsk since 2016, but has a promise from the Ukraine club to let him go if a big club comes calling.

He is known for his all-attack football that is focused on possession and pace.
