The Rossoblu have a history of giving strikers a huge career boost with Capocannoniere challengers who then move on to bigger clubs.

“I am finally joining Genoa after years of courting from President Enrico Preziosi,” said the former Udinese striker.

“Now my job is to repay that faith and give an important contribution to the cause. Genoa are going through a difficult time, but can get back on their feet.

“I cannot wait to start this new experience and hope, perhaps, to follow in the footsteps of people like Milito and Borriello.”

Udinese also had a deal with Juventus, but Floro Flores preferred a move to Genoa instead.

“It took me about 30 seconds to make a decision. I didn't say no to Juventus as such. I said yes to Genoa and am convinced my conscience is clear.

“If I didn't want this responsibility, then I would've stayed in Udine. I want to have fun, give the fans a good time and of course it's wonderful for my family to live by the sea.”
