Alessandro Florenzi is hoping Pablo Daniel Osvaldo will still be his teammate at Roma during the 2013-14 campaign.

The striker’s future in the Italian capital is uncertain after a number of disciplinary issues last season. He’s also not the most popular player amongst the home support.

Alessandro Florenzi is hoping Pablo Daniel Osvaldo will still be his teammate at Roma during the 2013-14 campaign.

The striker’s future in the Italian capital is uncertain after a number of disciplinary issues last season. He’s also not the most popular player amongst the home support.

However, Florenzi is keen to see the striker who scored 16 goals in 29 League games last term remain at the Stadio Olimpico.

“I would keep Osvaldo here with us,” he told Sky Sport Italia. “It would be a great loss for Roma should the club decide to let him go.”

Roma are looking to bounce back from a difficult 2012-13 where they finished sixth in Serie A and lost the Coppa Italia Final to rivals Lazio” data-scaytid=”11″>Lazio.

“We're coming off a season of failure, the fans are disappointed, but we want to give them great satisfaction this time around,” he added.

“It’s undeniable – we have to do better than we did in the last campaign. And I’m just looking to play in as many games as I can.”

Roma have been busy this summer with the appointment of Rudi Garcia as their new Coach, while a number of new players have come in too.

“Garcia is an excellent Coach, he talks a lot with us and he tells us what he expects from us on the field of play. But he is tough when necessary.

“Some great players have arrived in Maicon, Kevin Strootman and Tin Jedvaj. We’re all hoping that they will do well for us.”
