Alessandro Florenzi was disappointed by Roma’s 1-1 draw with Verona, as “we wanted to bring enthusiasm back.”

“We created many chances and it was a little slip-up,” Florenzi told Mediaset Premium.

“We wanted to bring enthusiasm back to the fans. From tomorrow we have to get back to work.

“Spalletti gave us his ideas of football and now it is up to us players to translate that on to the pitch. The Coach is well-prepared and he knows Roma well.

“From next week we’ll see something more, because we’ll have more time to work with him. What are our objectives? Let’s just focus on the present.”

Edin Dzeko missed a couple of sitters and was jeered by Roma fans.

“When someone gives their all, they cannot be criticised,” insisted Florenzi.
