Roma’s Alessandro Florenzi says the Giallorossi deserved to be whistled after being held by bottom side Parma.

Rudi Garcia’s men drew 0-0 with the Ducali, who are bottom of Serie A with only 10 points, and were whistled by the Stadio Olimpico crowd.

“We’re not at our best, we don’t incite fear like we did last year when teams came here and were afraid of Roma,” Florenzi told Sky after the game.

“This year they come here and we don’t have that conviction any more that allowed us to do that little bit more and score those goals that allowed us to win games.

“Today, more than the other times when they’ve whistled, it was a bit more deserved.”

The Italian international also admitted to confusion after playing in a variety of roles this season.

“Honestly I don’t know what my position is any more, I just think about playing.

“Am I confused? A little bit, to tell you the truth.

“Stopgaps should always be ready to play and I’ll take all the positives and negatives from this position.”
