The two nations were placed in Group E along with Sweden and the Republic of Ireland and they play each other in the opening game on June 13.
“We have one of the candidates to win the trophy in our group, namely my friend Nainggolan’s Belgium,” Florenzi told the official Roma website.

“However, our Nazionale has quality and we’ll do everything to cause huge problems for the other sides in our group.”
Belgium are number one in the FIFA World Rankings and beat Italy 3-1 last month in a friendly in Brussels.
“Our group certainly is not easy, because all the teams involved have important qualities,” added Nainggolan.
“I see Belgium and Italy as the favourites and at least on paper we are on the same level. Ireland also play with a lot of intensity and I think they’ll make life difficult for all their opponents.
“Sweden have Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who can always hurt you with a moment of magic.
“We must be aware of our own capabilities, because we can cause problems for all the other international sides. It’s a difficult tournament with some early head-to-head clashes, seeing as there are only three games in the group phase.
“On the other hand, having such a difficult group means we get the chance to immediately knock out another strong side.”
As the European Championship was expanded for this edition in France, the top two from each group go through to the next phase, plus the four best third-placed teams.
