The first round of voting has begun for the FIGC presidency, but neither candidate has secured the position just yet.

Carlo Tavecchio was thought beforehand to be the favourite, and the first round of votes would suggest that is the case.

It has been revealed 71-year-old has secured 60.2 per cent of the voting in the first round.

Demetrio Albertini meanwhile was afforded 35.46 per cent of the overall vote.

Voting will now go to a second round.
