Fiorentina boss Vincenzo Italiano does not confirm Leicester City’s offer for Nico Gonzalez and is looking forward to having both him and Sofyan Amrabat fully fit.

Nico and Amrabat have been linked with a move to the Premier League with Leicester City, Tottenham and Liverpool interested.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the Foxes have offered €34m to sign Nico in January, but Italiano is not considering parting ways with the Argentinean winger.

Fiorentina will host Sampdoria in a Coppa Italia Rund of 16 clash tomorrow, four days after their 2-1 win over Sassuolo in Florence.

“I liked the lads’ spirit [against Sassuolo], we won thanks to substitutions,” Italiano said at a press conference today.

“Right now, we must use Nico as a substitute, not from the start. He will get more playing time slowly, we don’t want to lose him again due to an injury. You saw his commitment and we are looking forward to having him fit.”

The Argentinean winger inspired La Viola’s victory by converting a late penalty kick against the Neroverdi.

Italiano doesn’t expect Fiorentina to sell Nico and denies the offer from England.

“This is a valuable team, but I think these are just rumours,” he said.

“I saw Nico’s commitment during today’s training, he is pushing so much. I’ve never thought about anything else, the only thing I want is to have him at the same level as last season.”

Amrabat has also attracted the interest form England, especially Tottenham and Liverpool, but yet again, Italian thinks the Morocco international won’t leave in January.

“He wasn’t at his best when he returned from the World Cup. It’s not the same as Nico Gonzalez, by raising his playing time, he will improve his fitness. It’s all about making him fully fit.”

Rocco Commisso will be back to the Stadio Franchi tomorrow: “We are happy, it’s an important moment and we are waiting for him to give him joy,” said Italiano.

“I spoke to the lads, we must be fully focused, making the most of a home game. The fixture list is quite packed, but we must only focus on this match, I hope I’ll see the commitment of the last game.”
