Fiorentina announced they will gather together all the items left at the Stadio Franchi gates in tribute to Davide Astori.
Fans from many clubs, not just the Viola, paid their respects at the stadium for the captain, who died in his sleep at the age of 31.
A statement from Fiorentina confirmed this evening they will gather every item and discuss with Astori’s family “how best to conserve these demonstrations of love and maintain them over time.”

In the meanwhile, they are putting together a permanent photographic record of each note, scarf, poem, flag and drawing left in honour of Astori.
