“Even I didn’t imagine this season as it has been,” Toni began on Tiki-Taka this week.
“In Florence, I was offered a role as a director, but I could still see myself as a player.
“Here in Verona, I’m experiencing a great season and now, with 15 goals in Serie A, I have joined Gianni Bui and Nico Penzo in the club’s record books [most Serie A goals for Verona in a season].
“I hope to pass by them both very soon.
“The World Cup? It is right that those who took the team to the competition will be called up, then it is down to Prandelli to decide.
“Cassano, Totti, Di Natale, Cerci and Immobile are all potential candidates. If I am called I would be really happy and honoured, but if I do not go to Brazil then I will be a fan for Italy.”
