Fiorentina have released a statement thanking Vincenzo Montella after he took over at Sampdoria.
The Coach was sacked by the Viola in acrimonious circumstances this summer, but is back on the bench after replacing Walter Zenga at Samp.
“ACF Fiorentina wishes Vincenzo Montella and his staff all the best for their new professional journey,” a statement on the club’s website read.

Montella guided Fiorentina to three consecutive fourth-place finishes, as well as the Europa League semi-final, before being replaced by Paulo Sousa.
