La Viola are seen to have reached an agreement this week to take the out-of-favour striker from San Siro on an initial six-month loan deal until the end of the season.

The Gazzetta dello Sport indicate that Fiorentina are keen to have the formalities of the move, approved by the player too, tied up in the coming hours, so as to have him available for the weekend trip to Catania.

However, it is also believed that Matri’s move faces a delay in that it will only be allowed to go through once imminent new Coach Clarence Seedorf has approved his exit.

Meanwhile, it is understood that an initial loan move for Manchester United’s Anderson could be tied up within the next 48 hours.
