Fiorentina could sell Juan Manuel Vargas in January after the Peru Coach complained of problems.

The midfielder was embroiled in controversy while on international duty this week, as he reportedly turned up two hours late from visiting his family, then asked not to play.

“Vargas' physical condition is not 100 per cent, but he is someone who has to play in order to find his best form,” Coach Sergio Markarian told El Deportivo.

“Because of this, it is best that he concentrates and focuses only on the field.”

Vargas has been increasingly on the sidelines of the Fiorentina squad due to poor form and there are rumours he's now on the market.

Arsenal have long been interested in the former Catania winger and their previous £12m offer could now be accepted.
