Sky Sport Italia reports Fiorentina are ready to make an opening bid to sign Giovani Lo Celso from Tottenham.

The Argentinean midfielder is not part of Antonio Conte’s plans in North London and is expected to leave this summer.

Many clubs around Europe have been linked with the 26-year-old, but Fiorentina are now ready to make their first step toward his signature.

Sky Sport Italia reports that La Viola is ready to offer €2m for the player’s loan until the end of the season, plus an option to buy for circa €20m.

The 26-year-old spent the last season on loan at Villarreal and the La Liga side are also interested in signing the player this summer.

According to La Nazione newspaper, Lo Celso has already spoken to his compatriot Nico Gonzalez who signed with the Tuscans a year ago.

Lo Celso, a product of Rosario Central academy, only scored one goal in 55 Premier League appearances.

Tottenham got him on a €16m loan from Betis in 2019 and made his move permanent for a further €32m one year later.
