Fiorentina are targeting Torino centre-forward Andrea Belotti, according to reports, as Il Gallo is unhappy with the lack of ambition in Turin.

The 26-year-old has a €100m release clause in his contract that is valid only for clubs outside of Italy, but nobody has ever come close to activating it.

His deal is due to expire in June 2022 and the lack of progress at Torino has frustrated the Italy international.

La Nazione newspaper claims Belotti wants to join a more ambitious club and Fiorentina are more than happy to welcome him into their squad.

It could be a suitable replacement for Federico Chiesa, should their biggest name be sold, but potentially a partner to convince Chiesa to remain at the Stadio Franchi instead.

Belotti scored 15 goals in 31 competitive games for Toro this season, along with three assists.

He has also been linked with Everton, Napoli and Milan.
