Juve have never stopped in their attempts to prise away the Italy international, but new President Rocco Commisso refused to even consider a sale.

According to La Repubblica, Fiorentina are offering Chiesa a new contract worth €3.5m plus performance-related bonuses, which would practically double his current salary.

It remains to be seen whether a release clause would be written into the deal and for how much, but it’d be in the region of €90m.

Chiesa is currently tied to the Stadio Franchi until June 2022 and he turns 22 next month.

The son of former Fiorentina striker Enrico Chiesa came up through their youth system and made his Serie A debut against Juventus in August 2016.
