Vincenzo Italiano admits the future of Manchester United and Barcelona target Sofyan Amrabat is ‘unpredictable’ but confirms talks with Juventus midfielder Arthur.

The Tuscans are training at the club’s new training Centre Viola Park in Florence and will soon see Amrabat return to town to resume work with his teammates.

His brother and agent has recently confirmed interest from Manchester United and Barcelona.

Italiano was asked how he would deal with a player who has made no secret that he’s willing to move elsewhere.

“It had happened already in my first season here,” said the coach.

“There was a borderline situation. Now, we’ll see how he feels mentally when he arrives. We’ll see. He is appreciated by everyone here, but all players arrive with the desire to work. We know the market has unpredictable dynamics.”

Fiorentina have already opened talks to sign Arthur on loan with an option to buy from Juventus and Italiano praised the ex-Liverpool loanee.

“We’ve spoken about this situation, we don’t hide it. Everyone likes him. The market is strange. He is a strong player and we’ll see what happens,” he said.

The Tuscans have already signed Fabiano Parisi from Empoli and Abdelhamid Sabiri from Sampdoria but Italiano expects to welcome even more new faces in the summer transfer window.

“Parisi is an exemplary professional, he has a great desire to work. He has proved his value and he wants to learn new things. He has added quality, he is dynamic and strong in one v. one situations.

“We gained experience last season, especially in Europe,” the 45-year-old continued.

“We have improved, but we can do even more. Parisi and Sabiri are excellent signings. There’s still a long way before the end of the transfer window and we’ll see how to improve this team.”

Luka Jovic is ready for his second season at the Stadio Franchi after experiencing highs and lows in 2022-23.

“Physical tests have been great, Jovic is doing what he’s been asked. He knows the environment now, it’s all different and I hope he can be fit as soon as possible. I think he can give a contribution with his smile,” concluded Italiano.
