The Viola welcome their most hated rivals to the Stadio Artemio Franchi tomorrow night, in what is seen by their fans as the biggest match of the season.

“We’ll have to play as a team, we’ll have a lot of work to do,” Pioli confirmed in his pre-match Press conference.

“We’ll face a very strong team that doesn’t appear to have any weaknesses in terms of the way they play and how they approach games.

“The team must be very lucid and attentive. We will have to rely on our skills and our characteristics, knowing that we will have to work a lot.

“The fans? Yes, they will have to help us, of that there’s no doubt. We have to try to go beyond our limits and our capabilities, we know this is THE Game.

“We have to give everything we have, and when it seems like we’ve given everything we’ll have to give even more.

“Some matches prepare themselves, everyone feels this match, even the foreigners. I’ll try my best to motivate the team, but I won’t have a big job to do, because the team knows what this game means.

“The look the taxi driver who took me home yesterday gave me told me everything, it was almost a look of pleading.

“It’s possible to beat Juventus. It’s happened in the past, whey can’t it happen again?

“I’m sure Juventus won’t be distracted and think about the Champions League though. That’s their strength.

“[Max] Allegri, along with [Carlo] Ancelotti is the best Italian Coach by a long way.

“We’ll try to attack every time we get the chance to do so, we’re not a team that plays defensively and plays a passive match.

“We’ll have to be sharp though, because Juventus have only conceded one goal in the last 15 games, and on average they only give their opponent one chance.

“A player I’d take from Juventus? We can’t delude ourselves and think that playing just one would be enough.

“A month ago I’d have said [Mario] Mandzukic, but the form of their strikers frightens me…”

Pioli played for Juve, but he’s never beaten them as a Coach.

“Tomorrow could be the best chance, that’s the objective.”

Federico Bernardeschi will play tomorrow, and is sure to get a hostile reaction after leaving the Viola for the Old Lady in the summer.

“I was happy to coach Federico when he was with us. I had a chat with Bernardeschi on the phone, but things had already gone in a certain direction.”
