Fiorentina have reportedly presented Palermo with an offer of €3m for defender Edoardo Goldaniga.
La Viola are looking for defensive reinforcements during the January window and have stepped up their chase for the Italy Under-21 international.
La Nazione writes today that immediately after their defeat to Lazio on Saturday, Viola directors decided to submit a bid for the 22-year-old.
However, the offer of €3m is believed to be too low for Palermo President Maurizio Zamparini to consider a sale, with the centre-back valued at around €4m.
