The aftermath of last night’s 1-1 draw between Fiorentina and Atalanta was reportedly very fiery indeed with coaches and directors clashing in the tunnel.

Atalanta coach Gian Piero Gasperini had said in his post-match comments that he was not happy with the refereeing at the Stadio Artemio Franchi, particularly the penalty awarded to the Viola for Rafael Toloi’s handling offence after a very long VAR check.

According to La Stampa, La Repubblica and more that was only the beginning, as Gasperini was then involved in a screaming match with Fiorentina director of sport Daniele Pradè.

It is claimed a full report was written up by eye witnesses to the Disciplinary Commission, who saw Pradè being dragged back into the locker room by Fiorentina players who were trying to calm the situation down.

However, once that argument was quashed, another erupted between Fiorentina chief Joe Barone and Atalanta director of sport Toni D’Amico.

Atalanta director general Umberto Marino then spoke sarcastically to the delegates of the Federation: “What are you doing here if you don’t intervene? Go into the Fiorentina locker room too.”

Fiorentina could also face punishment for the entire Curva Fiesole section of the crowd making insulting chants towards Gasperini during the game.
