According to Olé, former Atletico Madrid and Barcelona star Luis Suarez is unwilling to move to Argentina and Fiorentina are among his possible destinations.
The Uruguay international is available as a free agent after the end of his contract with the Colchoneros. There have been reports linking him with a return to Argentina, where River Plate would welcome him with open arms.
However, Suarez seems unwilling to return to South America and would rather remain in Europe for a few more seasons.
The Argentinean paper mentions Fiorentina as one of the possible destinations for the 35-year-old, but Sevilla and Athletic Club are also monitoring the experienced striker.
The former Barcelona star would need to take a pay cut to join the Franchi as the Tuscans can’t afford his €7m-a-year salary.
Fiorentina signed Arthur Cabral on a permanent deal from Basel in January to replace Dusan Vlahovic. They also loaned Krzysztof Piątek from Herta Berlin and if the Poland striker returns to Germany, Fiorentina would seriously consider signing Suarez on a free transfer.
