Blatter is the only candidate after Mohamed Bin Hammam's withdrawal amid investigations into alleged of corruption.

“It's not a problem that the election has just one candidate, even if obviously an unpleasant situation has developed,” said FIGC President Giancarlo Abete on Sky Sport Italia.

“There is the utmost co-ordination with UEFA President Michel Platini. Therefore we will vote in line with the direction decided jointly with the UEFA hierarchy, of which I am a part.”

Abete is Vice-President of the UEFA Executive Committee.
