The Giallorossi number 10 held a meeting with President James Pallotta today to discuss his future at the club, but it still isn’t clear if a decision has been made.

“Totti is the heritage of Roma, he’s like UNESCO,” Ferrero said to RomaNews.eu.

“His name is Roma, he’s given his life to Roma and he must remain a Romanista; if he retires this year, I think he’s deserved a place as a director.”

Ferrero also left the Lupi captain an invitation to join him at Samp should he wish.

“I hope he comes! There’s no problem. Totti is football.”
