The Uruguayan midfielder put in another strong performance in this evening’s 1-1 draw with Roma.

He has been linked with the likes of Juventus, Inter, Roma, Napoli and Atletico Madrid.

“The other day I said Torreira was worth €30m, yesterday it was €40m and today it’s €50m,” the patron told Mediaset Premium.

“It was a good game, we really believed in the victory, as it was in our hands until the final two minutes of stoppages, but Roma are always Roma.

“People tell me I am a Romanista, but I’ve got Sampdoria in my heart now. Roma are just in my mind.”

Eusebio Di Francesco was furious at the Fabio Quagliarella penalty, claiming there had been a foul on Kevin Strootman in the build-up.

“In football now, it’s fashionable to moan, so I’ll do it as well. That was a clear penalty, the referee showed great courage.”
