Sampdoria President Massimo Ferrero claims Mikkel Damsgaard’s price tag could rise to €40m and according to reports in Italy, the Denmark starlet has been scouted by Barcelona and Tottenham during Euro 2020.

Damsgaard joined Sampdoria from Nordsjaelland in a €6.5m deal and scored two goals in his first season in Serie A.

The 20-year-old also netted one goal at the Euros in Denmark’s 4-1 win over Russia, attracting the interest of many top clubs around Europe.

Sampdoria President Massimo Ferrero warned suitors in an interview with Il Secolo XIX where he claimed that Damsgaard’s is valued at €30m, but his worth could ‘raise to €40m.’

According to Sky Sport Italia, Milan have set their sights on the attacking midfielder, but the Rossoneri are facing tough competition.

La Gazzetta dello Sport reports both Tottenham and Barcelona are monitoring the 20-year-old and scouts from the La Liga giants have watched the Sampdoria starlet during the Euros.
