Sampdoria President Massimo Ferrero confirmed he will “sell Eder if there’s an offer he can’t refuse.”

The striker saw his season come to an abrupt end in April after a knee ligament injury that ruled him out for three months.

An Italian international with one goal in two caps, he scored 12 times for Samp in 31 games this season.

“Would I take €10m for Eder? I am keeping a tight hold of him, but we do have an agreement,” Ferrero told Sky Sport Italia.

“We made a pact that if there’s an offer he can’t refuse, he will go where his heart takes him and I will follow my wallet.”

There were reports today that Ferrero met with Empoli Coach Maurizio Sarri, but he answered in his own inimitable style.

“I never meet anyone unless to say yes or no. Nobody met Sarri, they will meet Sarri, long live Sarri!”
