Sampdoria President Massimo Ferrero says Eder is not for sale, other than for a fee he'd 'sell his wife' for.

The striker has been linked with a move away from the Blucerchiati, but the patron is refusing to consider losing the Italian international.

“I’ll never sell Eder,” Ferrero told Radio Radio.

“I’ve already said that, and I’ll repeat it to infinity. In football, if a President comes in with a substantial figure, everything is for sale, but for now Eder is not.

“Well, of course [I’d sell] for €20m, but for that a man would sell his wife.”

The colourful President also affirmed his intention to keep Roberto Soriano, though it may prove more difficult as he has a release clause.

“I’m trying to keep him, but there’s a clause in his contract. Roberto is like a son, I want to keep him. There will be a few surprises.”
