Sassuolo defender Gian Marco Ferrari will join Roberto Mancini’s Italy for Monday’s World Cup qualifier against Northern Ireland.

The Azzurri host Switzerland at Rome’s Stadio Olimpico tonight and Ferrari will join the Azzurri squad after the match, reports Calciomercato.com.

The 29-year-old will be available on Monday when Italy visit Northern Ireland in the last World Cup qualifying match.

Ferrari has only one senior Italy cap to his name.

He made his debut with the Azzurri in May 2021 in a 7-0 win over San Marino.

Ferrari is a regular starter at the Mapei Stadium and has played every single minute in Serie A since the beginning of the campaign.
