According to reports in Spain, Napoli midfielder Fabian Ruiz has been snubbed by Spain because of a row with coach Luis Enrique during the Euros.

The 25-year-old is one of Napoli’s best performers this season, having scored three goals and delivered three assists in 15 appearances across all competitions.

Spain coach Luis Enrique dropped him from La Roja’s squad for the last two World Cup qualifying matches against Greece and Sweden.

They beat Greece 1-0 away last night and they host Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s Sweden on Sunday.

According to As.com, Fabian is not part of the team because he had a row with coach Luis Enrique during the Euros, so he is not expected to return to the team anytime soon.

However, the former Roma tactician has claimed that the doors are open for Fabian’s return.

“He is doing very well, but I can call only 25 players. He was included in the preliminary list and he knows where he has to improve, the door is open for him,” the former midfielder said.

Fabian joined Napoli in a €30m deal from Betis in 2018.

He made his senior Spain debut under Robert Moreno in 2019 and has 15 caps to his name.
