The transfer window has shut in Italy, but not in Turkey, as Fenerbahce have reportedly made an offer for Cagliari left-back Charalampos Lykogiannis.

The deadline in Italy was last night and the market remains open in Turkey for another week, so Serie A sides could still off-load unwanted players.

According to Sportitalia and Gazzetta dello Sport pundit Alfredo Pedullà, Fenerbahce have made a proposal for Lykogiannis.

The Greece international left-back is under contract with Cagliari until June 30 and he had already been on the market for other Italian clubs, but a deal did not go through in time.

It’s reported the offer on the table is another two-year contract for Lykogiannis, with Cagliari receiving a small transfer fee.

The 28-year-old has six senior caps for Greece under his belt and can also play in central defence.

Lykogiannis joined Cagliari from Austrian side Sturm Graz in January 2018 and has been a regular this season with 20 Serie A appearances and two in the Coppa Italia.
