Milan midfielder Rade Krunic is not even on the bench for tonight’s Coppa Italia tie against Cagliari, fuelling reports of a move to Fenerbahce or Olympique Lyonnais.

It kicks off at San Siro at 20.00 GMT and the winner will go through to face either Atalanta or Sassuolo in the quarter-finals.

Coach Stefano Pioli is already missing many players and had been expected to at least have Krunic on the bench.

However, the Bosnia and Herzegovina international is not named in the squad list.

It remains to be seen if this is because of a recurring back issue that flared up again during the Serie A win over Sassuolo, or if he is being kept out ahead of an imminent transfer during the January window.

Fenerbahce had already tried to sign Krunic over the summer, but according to reports the €3m offer is still nowhere near the €6m asking price.

The Turkish club also face strong competition from Ligue 1 outfit Olympique Lyonnais.
