The Brazilian has been in sensational form for the Biancocelesti, scoring five goals and creating five in his last five Serie A appearances.

However, the club has announced today that the former Santos man will face three weeks on the sidelines after an injury in training.

“This morning, during training at Formello, Felipe Anderson suffered a sprain of the left knee on the medial collateral ligament.

“The assessment this afternoon at Paideia clinic in Rome have ruled out the presence of associated meniscal tears.

“The player will therefore undergo a period of rest and medical care which is currently estimated at three weeks unless there are complications.”

It has not been a good week for the 21-year-old, after his father was reportedly arrested in Brazil on a double homicide charge.
