The former Rossoneri director is suing the club for unfair dismissal, having been removed when Elliott Management ousted Yonghong Li, and his lawyer discussed the reasons.

“It’s very simple,” Francesco Rotondi told Pianeta Milan.

“He was fired for non-existent reasons and defamed in the Press in an incredible way by his own colleagues.

“Obviously whenever I take on a case I believe in the position I’m defending, and in this case there’s incontrovertible evidence and also unacceptable attitudes from a moral point of view.

“He’s agitated and it’s easy to understand, those who believe they have been wronged suffer. And being pilloried in the media without contradiction doesn’t help.”
