Davide Faraoni is torn between wanting more for Verona’s performance and accepting a ‘valuable point’ against Roma.

The game ended 0-0 at the Stadio Bentegodi, but Hellas hit the crossbar twice and the Giallorossi once with Leonardo Spinazzola’s stunner.

“It’s a valuable point, as we were up against a strong side that plays good football at a high tempo,” Faraoni told Sky Sport Italia.

“I have to compliment our new players, because they immediately adapted to our style of football and they have to keep doing that in every game.

“We were unable to break Roma down in the first half, especially down the wings, but did much better after the break and came close to winning it.

“It will be difficult to repeat what we achieved last season, but it’s certainly possible. We brought in some talented new players and are trying to ensure they are at ease.”
