Former Juventus left-back Patrice Evra is set for an imminent return to football with West Ham United.

According to BBC Sport, Evra has agreed terms with West Ham, while Gianluca Di Marzio’s website adds he will undergo a medical on Wednesday.

The 36-year-old has been a free agent since leaving Olympique Marseille in November after kicking one of the club’s fans in the face before a Europa League match.

He was banned from UEFA competitions until June but is free to play in the Premier League for the Hammers.
