Patrice Evra says Italy “didn’t deserve to go out” and thanks Juventus for “extending my career”.

The Bianconeri left-back helped France to a 5-2 win over Iceland at Euro 2016 last night, but had a message for the Old Lady and the Azzurri.

“It’s almost two in the morning, and today I want to thank all the people who work at Juventus,” Evra said in a video on his Instagram.

“We’ve qualified for the European Championship Semi-Finals and it seems as though I’m running like a 15-year-old boy. I need to thank them, because they’ve extending my career by three years.

“Yesterday I felt bad for all my teammates in the Italian national team. They didn’t deserve to go out, they were the strongest team at the tournament.”
