This weekend’s results only ruled Lazio out, as there are four clubs within a two-point radius.

Inter have already secured fifth place, so the final 90 minutes of the season will be decisive.

Torino and Parma drew 1-1 this afternoon, so Toro still have the upper hand with 56 points. If they win away to Fiorentina next week, then the Granata will go into Europe.

However, Capocannoniere Ciro Immobile was sent off today and will therefore be suspended for that trip.

Parma have 55 points and their last game of the season is at home to already-relegated Livorno, so a much easier test.

Crucially, the Ducali have a superior head-to-head record with Torino, as they won 3-1 earlier this season and drew 1-1 today.

That means if these two teams end level in the table, Parma will go into Europe.

However, Milan and Verona aren’t out of the running yet either, despite disappointing results this weekend.

The Rossoneri are on 54 points after a 2-1 defeat to Atalanta, so a victory against Sassuolo – who have already secured their safety – would qualify Milan if Torino lost and Parma failed to win.

There is a big problem for Clarence Seedorf’s men, as they have an inferior head-to-head record with Parma and are level in that sense with Torino and Verona.

Verona drew 2-2 with Udinese and are also on 54 points, so they must win away to Napoli – a game that will be played behind closed doors – and hope other results go their way.

In order to snatch sixth place, Verona would need a victory and for Torino and Parma to both lose, plus Milan not to win.
