As expected, Italy are in the far more complicated side of the Euro 2020 bracket, as they’d face Belgium or Portugal in the quarter-finals, and potentially France, Spain or Croatia in the semi.

The Round of 16 has now been drawn up after the final group games were completed this evening.

Italy will face Austria in the Round of 16, but if they progress beyond that, their opponents will be either Belgium or Portugal in the quarters.

That’s not the only issue, as the choice of potential semi-finalists would then be between France, Switzerland, Croatia and Spain.

However, on the other side of the bracket the competition looks decidedly more skewed in one direction.

England v Germany is the big clash in the Round of 16, but after that the only teams on the path towards the Final are Sweden, Ukraine, the Netherlands, Czech Republic, Wales and Denmark.
