England are through to the Final at EURO 2020 with a 2-1 win over Denmark after extra time on Wednesday night.

The Three Lions hosted Denmark in the English capital and arrived after four wins and one draw, without conceding a goal in the competition before Mikkel Damsgaard scored a screamer from a free kick in the first half.

Denmark started the competition with a shock, when Inter midfielder Christian Eriksen collapsed in the final minutes of the first half in a 1-0 defeat to Finland, but have recovered and stood together to reach the semi-finals of the competition.

But it stopped there, as Milan defender Simon Kjaer scored an own goal when trying to stop a cross from Bukayo Saka reaching Raheem Sterling in front of goal.

Four Serie A players were in the Danish line-up tonight, with Kjaer captaining the side and Atalanta full-back Joakim Maehle playing at left in a 3-4-3 formation.

Udinese’s Jens Stryger Larsen started at right, whilst an impressive Damsgaard of Sampdoria continued in the attacking trident.

The Danes held on to draw 1-1 after 90 minutes, but England prevailed after 120 minutes, as Harry Kane scored the decisive goal to send the Three Lions to the Final.

Sterling went down and was awarded a soft penalty in the first half of the extra time, and Leicester goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel did well to stop Kane’s first effort from the penalty spot.

The Tottenham striker then converted the rebound and the English fans rejoiced. Denmark pushed for an equaliser, but England are through to the Final.
