Samp have been in advanced negotiations with the Everton striker for some time now and are down to details in order to complete the move.

Sky Sport Italia claim the contract will be worth €1.5m per year for two and a half seasons.

The big surprise is in the clauses regarding image rights.

These will be split 50-50 with the club, but above all the contract includes an option to make a film of the Cameroon legend’s life.

The proceeds would be divided equally between Eto’o and Sampdoria President Massimo Ferrero, who is a movie producer.

There are also plans to give Eto’o a spot on the Sampdoria board of directors after he retires.

It’s believed Eto’o could be in Italy this weekend to complete the transfer and even make his debut for Sampdoria against his old club Inter in the Coppa Italia on Wednesday night.

"Is it really Inter straight away? I can't wait!" Eto'o told Samp directors, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

Meanwhile, Udinese director Cristiano Giaretta confirmed “negotiations with Sampdoria for the sale of Luis Muriel are almost complete. We are in an advanced phase.”

The deal had collapsed when Colombian forward Muriel failed a medical, but the club renegotiated terms.
