Marcelo Estigarribia could get his first start for Juventus tonight. “I doubt he’ll be afraid in Naples,” said fellow Paraguayan Edgar Barreto.

Estigarribia has so far made only substitute appearances in Serie A for the Bianconeri, but with Claudio Marchisio suspended he is expected to start this evening against Napoli.

“He is certainly an important player who proved his quality for Paraguay,” said Palermo midfielder Barreto.

“Now he is slowly learning the foundations of what it means to play in Italy. He will give Juventus a big helping hand and Antonio Conte is really counting on him.

“He could be seen as the alternative to Marchisio, but he is a very attacking player. His role is wide in a four-man midfield, so I wouldn’t know if he could replace Marchisio.

“I doubt he’ll be afraid in Naples. Playing at the packed Stadio San Paolo will be extra motivation.”
