“I don’t know if I will play in the same position or in another. I wouldn’t tell you the day before the game, even if I did!”

The Bianconeri have not won the Champions League since 1998 and Emre Can is well aware of their expectations.

“I know since I came here that it’s very important for Juventus and the people in Turin to win the Cup. They came close before, lost two Finals and want to reach another.

“It won’t be easy, as everyone respects Ajax. We respect them in the Champions League, but we are not afraid of them and we want to win tomorrow.

“I watched the first leg on television and it’s impressive to see how they play, but we want to play our game and then see what happens.

“We need the same attitude that we had against Atletico Madrid. We are for sure not playing for 0-0 and think we’ll be through. We want to win the game and score goals.

“Allegri is a fantastic Coach, you can see he won the Scudetto every year and reached the Champions League Final twice. He likes to work on the details and that is why he’s a world class Coach.

Emre Can was asked if he and the Juventus players had practiced penalties ahead of a potential shoot-out.

“I think I was to date the only player who had a few penalties after training, but then I do that anyway. We haven’t tried that yet with the team.”
