Empoli sporting director Marcello Carli warns ‘we won’t sell off our players’ after rejecting a bid from Napoli for Riccardo Saponara.
It was revealed earlier this week that the Tuscan side had rejected an offer for the former Milan man, and the director warns they will not be bullied into selling their stars.
“Empoli cannot ignore offers of a certain type,” Carli admitted, speaking to Il Tirreno.

“Empoli cannot ignore offers of a certain type,” Carli admitted, speaking to Il Tirreno.
“That said, we had the strength to say no to a lot of important offers, including Napoli’s for Saponara, and we certainly won’t sell-off our players.
“They’re good, and if anyone wants them then they’ll have to pay what they’re worth.”
