Stephan El Shaarawy has reflected on his difficult season, but insists that he wants to stay at Milan.

The Italian youngster only played six times in the League last term following a serious of foot injuries that required surgery.

But following reports that the Rossoneri could cut their losses and sell the striker, he has claimed that he wants to remain with the San Siro outfit.

“I didn’t play many games which was a shame,” he told reporters at a Samsung event in the city today.

“When the stress fracture reappeared it was a time of great distress for me, personally.

“But my intention now is to stay with Milan and return to the best of my ability.

“The season we had wasn’t the best. We improved towards the end, but we were too far back to challenge.”
